Oyakhilomes divorce splits Christ Embassy members

Oyakhilomes divorce splits Christ Embassy members

Looks like members of Chris Oyakhilome's Christ Embassy church are divided over his split from his wife Anita who filed for divorce a few months ago on the grounds of 'unreasonable behaviour' and 'adultery'. On a Facebook page called 'Where is Rev. Anita Oyakhilome,’ some members are putting their pastors and church on blast...

Yesterday, one member wrote
"I am a Christ Embassy member. I hate one thing there: How can a pastor be working together with a lady hand in hand, attending meetings and lodging in a hotel for days. My girlfriend travels with our branch pastor annually for PPCF which holds in Lagos. Only God knows.” Continue...

Another one wrote;
"Pastor Chris Oyakhilome must have been discovered compromising his marital bed business. It is what it is. God says judgement will start from His house. ‘Touch not my anointed’ is God’s instruction regarding all His children, not an individual nicking, scheming, threatening monies off people’s purses and telling them that salvation is tied to tithes and that seed sowing is only money donation to the church/pastor’s coffers. One down, more to roll. Christ be praised.”
Another member of the page wrote
" I and my family left Christ Embassy for our own good after worshiping there for three years plus and seeing all the things going on under the disguise of church. And I can comfortably say that for over a year now, we have had so much peace in our Christian lives. I don’t care how you view my comment but truth must be told.”

Joseph Osagiede, however, responded saying the Oyakhilomes were still together. He said,
“I have been in Christ Embassy for 12 years. All is totally well with thier marriage. All those wishing them to split and also those going about saying nasty things about the church, be careful.” Faith Ebunoluwa Adetayo also said, “I have been in Christ Embassy since 1990s and I can authoritatively say some things: I have seen the power of God work, demonstrated in healings and many other things. I have seen how that Pastor Chris is less concerned about mistakes we make. “He believes that these sins of the flesh will disappear, only if we listen to the word of God. Rather than condemning us, he speaks words of encouragement. And for your information, Pastor Anita is still very much in the ministry and she’s with her darling husband.”
Meanwhile, the Christ Embassy has kept mum on the divorce case.

A woman, who picked Punch’s call to the Nigerian office of the church on Saturday, said she had no information to give on the matter. When asked to confirm if the divorce suit was true or not, she simply said, “I have no information to give on the matter.”

When another call was made to the church thorough another number, the respondent, who identified herself as Pastor Christabel, said the church had no information about the case. “No, we have no information on the matter,” she said.

How I survived Ebola – Late nurse' fiance, Dennis Akagha speaks

Dennis Akagha, the fiance of Justina Ejelonu, the First Consultant Hospital nurse who died after being infected with the deadly Ebola virus by Liberian Patrick Sawyer, in this exclusive interview with Vanguard spoke about how his late fiancee contracted the deadly disease, how she lost their unborn child while battling with Ebola, and also revealed that Justina had just landed the job at the hospital and met Sawyer on her first day there. He also spoke on how he got infected with the virus and how he finally got discharged. Fimd the in-depth interview after the cut...

On his relationship with the late Justina, Dennis said;
"The  truth is that Justina and I were not legally married, we were planning for our traditional marriage in October and she just got this job. She was a qualified graduate nurse and got the job at the First Consultant Hospital in Lagos. She resumed duty at the hospital on the 21st of July, while Patrick Sawyer was admitted at the hospital on the 20th. He was her first patient. She was one of the nurses that nursed him. She was pregnant and so her immune system was weak, which made it easy for her to contract the disease. On that first day which was aMonday, she was having some pregnancy symptoms, but I just encouraged her to go because it was her first day at work. Sawyer was her first patient. The next day, Tuesday, she didn’t work on Sawyer. Wednesday and Thursday, she was off. Then on Friday, Patrick Sawyer died. They didn’t know he had Ebola, it was three days later that they realized it was Ebola" he said
On how he found out she had contracted the deadly virus, he said
"It was after Sawyer died that she told me she nursed him but that she was on gloves. She even thanked God that she didn’t have direct contact with him. The fever continued and we thought it was just pregnancy symptoms and even when she went to her hospital, they confirmed the same thing. She took drugs and ran tests, yet it persisted. At night, she was usually cold and feverish and her body temperature was usually very high. At a point, I began to suspect that she had contacted the virus. I did some research on the disease and realised that she was having similar symptoms. On the 14th of August, it became serious, she started stooling and vomiting. I had to clean up everything. All of a sudden, she started bleeding and she started crying that she had lost the pregnancy. I had to call her relatives and other people. The bleeding persisted and I had to clean up everything. Initially I was not wearing gloves because I felt I had already been exposed to the virus. But later I cautioned myself and started wearing nylon on my hands. But I couldn’t stay away from her. I kept consoling her. Even when I took her to the hospital, she wanted to hold me and I told her to also consider my safety. She managed to hold herself and was able to find her way out in a pool of her blood. We chartered a taxi to the hospital, but first, I took her to First Consultant Hospital because I felt they should know more. When we got there, I was directed to IGH, Yaba. I told the taxi driver to take us there. The driver wasn’t even aware of what was going on as he took us to Yaba.  Justina was on the floor for 30 minutes before she was attended to. She was screaming that she was going to die. She was seriously bleeding, she had to come out of the taxi and lay on the floor. I ran around, trying to get doctors to attend to her. After everything, they took her in, took her blood samples and the following day, the result came out that it was Ebola. They washed the taxi with chlorine and also bathed the taxi driver and I with chlorine spray. At that point, the taxi driver knew what was going on, he couldn’t even take me home because he was so scared. I had to look for somewhere to pass the night in the hospital. Early the next morning, I left the Hospital. The taxi driver is alive today, nothing happened to him. We have been checking on him and the last time we spoke he told me, he was fine" he said.
On what happened after he was exposed to the virus, Dennis said;
"14 days after I was exposed to Ebola, my temperature rose from the usual 35.2 degrees centigrade to 37.2. The Lagos State government gave me a thermometer the day I dropped Justina off at the centre. It took them two straight weeks to visit my home and to disinfect it. Before they came, I had already done the much I could do. I used bleach and detergent to clean the whole house, furniture and clothes inclusive. We should be reminded and educated that a healthy person with Ebola virus cannot get anybody infected, except if the person is sick and totally down with the virus like what happened to Sawyer and to my late wife-to-be, Justina. I contacted the virus because Justina was very sick and I was taking care of her without any appropriate protection. When we knew what we were dealing with it was almost too late for me as I had already contacted the virus" he said.
On what was done for him after his visit to the Isolation centre, Dennis said
"The Lagos State government sent health professionals to check on me regularly to know how l was doing or if l had the signs of the virus manifesting. So they used to come around to check on me. At some point they created scenes with their visits. I was embarrassed and I was stigmatized. I complained severely to them that I didn’t like what they were doing. Then, one Saturday they visited again, I complained about the pains I was beginning to experience; excruciating pains around my waist. I started praying and asking people to pray for me. Before this time, I believed in the Holy Communion, so I usually take it daily and do feet washing. I was going to the hospital daily to see late Justina. Initially, I was seeing her through the window and she would say I should take her out of the hospital. She complained of lack of care. Perhaps, Justina would have survived the virus, if not for the state she was in. Her immune system was down because she was pregnant. Along the line, she had a miscarriage and lost the baby due to the Ebola virus disease. The doctors, who were supposed to do an evacuation on her couldn’t do it because they claimed that an evacuation was too risky as she was heavily infected and may pass on the virus to another person. Since nothing was done even after the bleeding had stopped, it led to more complications for her because the already dead foetus somehow got rotten in the womb and started a damaging process which led to further complication. Meanwhile, she was still stooling and vomiting and since nobody could dare to touch her, she was left on top of her excretions even when she couldn’t do much for herself due to her weak state. She was given her incisions and other drugs. I believe if some people survived Justina should have been one of them. At a point, I wished I was a doctor myself; I would have taken the risk of doing the evacuation because it really affected her".
On the last day he say his late fiancee, Dennis said
"The last day I saw her, I had to go inside the ward because she was so unkempt as nobody attended to her. At that time, the quarantined patients were in the former facility where there was no water and she had messed up herself again. I had to look for water to clean her up, change her pampers and arrange her bedding. Since I was aware of what I was dealing with, I got myself protected while cleaning up the place. I made sure she looked better than when I saw her. Justina was shivering the last day I saw her, one side of her stomach was already swollen, and her legs were also swollen. I prayed for her.At a point, she needed oxygen and the hospital couldn’t provide it. Her friends had to provide it. That was the last day I saw her. On Sunday Morning, I called her line like I usually did before visiting her, but she didn’t pick her calls. When I got to the hospital, I was told that she was dead".
Asked if late Justina was taking his calls while she was at the Isolation center, Dennis said;
"Yes, in fact she called me that last day and I knew she was going to give up, because she was saying some funny things. She said I should tell my people to go and meet her father so as to finalize our marriage plans, that she’s leaving that place.
Asked if he was not scared that he would die form the illness seeing that his Fiancees health was deteriorating, Dennis said;
"I personally don’t believe in taking medications. I had the mentality that I wasn’t sick. I told the government what I was experiencing. On the day they came to pick me up for treatment, all of a sudden, my temperature went back to normal. The shivering and pains were all gone. So they decided that they would be checking on me. But it got to a point people stopped selling things to me. It was as if the government got a report that I shouldn’t be around. So, they came and said I should go with them that they wanted to take my blood sample. I went with them and they took my blood sample, I was kept in a ward known as the ‘suspected ward. The result came out and it was positive. I was then taken to a confined ward. One of the doctors from UNICEF, a white lady told me that they were having issues with the results and that they would have to re-run the tests. They did the tests again and it was still positive. I told them that it wasn’t my result and that I was healthy. I was even doing my usual exercises (press-ups) every morning. I kept telling them that I wasn’t sick. They took my blood sample the third time. That night, they told me that I tested negative in the last result and that I don’t have any reason to remain there. That was how I was discharged" he said
Speaking on what was hapening to his job as he was under isolation, Dennis said;
"I was a marketer in an oil and gas company. I worked on commission basis, but at a point, I realized that people were not calling me and when I called they won’t pick my calls. Even the person that I report directly refused to pick my calls and also refused to associate with me. Justina and I just got our jobs, she got hers at First Consultant Hospital and I got mine as a marketer with the oil and gas company.
On whether the government or First Consultant Hospital owes late Justina's family  some form of compensations, Dennis said;
"Although, no amount of money they give to the family will bring her back I think the government owes Justina’s family a lot because she died trying to save a situation. Justina died in active service as her death wasn’t natural".
On how his status changed from postive to negative, Dennis said
"I was reading a book on healing and taking of the Holy Communion. So I learnt to take Holy Communion morning, afternoon and night. I also engaged myself in feet-washing every day before going to bed. The Almighty God saved me; the Holy Spirit healed me. It wasn’t as though l didn’t fall sick as l had direct contact with Justina but the Almighty God healed me. When I was discharged, I got to my house on Saturday evening and spent two hours the next day, Sunday, thanking God on my own. I didn’t go to church or anywhere because of the already established stigma but today I can confidently attend church activities because I guess they all know I’m free now. I know my faith and belief healed me. God also worked for me apart from the fact that my immune system is also working. I believe I got healed also because friends prayed for me" he said

Malaysia Airlines cuts 30% of employees in bid to save company

Khazanah, which currently holds a 69 per cent stake in Malaysia Airlines, said it would invest in "reskilling" those who lose their jobs.Malaysia Airlines will cut almost a third of its 20,000-person workforce and cut back its global route network as part of a radical $1.9 billion US restructuring after two devastating jetliner disasters.The 42-year-old company will be delisted by the end of the year under the broad revival plan announced by state fund Khazanah Nasional on Friday. It aims to bring long-elusive efficiency and global standards to the loss-making carrier.
"Estimation of a workforce of approximately 14,000 represents a net reduction of 6,000 or a net reduction of 30 per cent from approximately 20,000 current staff in total," Khazanah managing director Azman Mokhtar told reporters in Kuala Lumpur.
The 6,000 job cuts were more than expected by the industry and mark a painful new blow for staff after a traumatic year for the national flag-carrier and the Southeast Asian country.
Khazanah, which currently holds a 69 per cent stake in the airline, said it would invest in "reskilling" those who lose their jobs. It pledged to set up a panel to improve often rocky relations between unions and management.
Khazanah will take 100 per cent ownership when the carrier is delisted and said that it would buy out minority shareholders.
"The assignment and the object of this exercise is to support the revival of the national carrier but not at any cost; this is the key actually," Mokhtar said.
Under the restructuring plan, which was approved by Malaysia's cabinet this week, the airline's assets and liabilities will be transferred to a new company with Khazanah injecting up to $1.9 billion US.

To relist within 5 years

Khazanah aims to return Malaysian Airlines to profit by 2017, and relist the company within five years, by which time it would be a more regionally focused airline "with lower cost structure and greater emphasis on revenue yield management," the state fund said in a statement.
An international search for a new chief executive was underway, Khazanah said, and the current one, Ahmad Jauhari Yahya, would stay on until July next year.
Khazanah said its new fund injections would be strictly tied to the new company meeting performance targets.
The state fund did not give details on plans to reduce the carrier's flight network, but said several of its European destinations would be reviewed. Malaysia Airlines will retain global flight connectivity through the Oneworld alliance and code-sharing, Khazanah said.

Bow Wow Slams Karrueche for Blue Ivy Hair Diss

BET’s Bow Wow becomes the latest to weigh in on the controversy, telling his fan followers that he wouldn’t have declined to read the teleprompter joke live on air. He also is denying speculation that the show has been taken off their air over the furor that exploded in the aftermath.
On Monday, Karrueche told a scripted joke to the audience during a live broadcast of BET’s “106 & Park” about Beyonce and Jay Z not combing their daughter Blue’s hair. Karrueche, of course, was buried under an avalanche of hate, but Bow Wow now weighs in on the controversy.
First, he says the long-running music show is not suspended as a result of the Karrueche comments.
“Nah man, y’all crazy. No, we’re not getting suspended, we’re not going off the air. We’re on hiatus, that’s why you haven’t seen me on the show as of late because I’ve been using my time to actually film for CSI. So I just wanted to go ahead and clear that up for everybody out there not knowing the truth.
“We all pull our pants up the same, you know what I mean? Everybody talk about everybody. ‘The View,’ you know what I mean? ‘First Take.’ When Stephen A. Smith said what he said, they didn’t suspend the whole show. They just dealt with Stephen A. Smith. We ain’t going on a hiatus because of Karrueche either. We’re doing what we do every fall.”
Bow Wow, who has actually worked with Beyonce in the past, says that he would have refused to deliver the joke, adding: “Now a brother like me? Would I have read that sh*t? H*ll nah! Nope! Uh-uh. Wouldn’t have did it. Nope! Uh-uh! Nope! Not on duty.”
Karrueche, 27, and the TV network issued an apology a number of times after fans expressed their fury over the incident.

C hris Brown angers fans after he calls slim girlfriend Karrueche Tran "a fat a** n***a"

Splash
Chris Brown has riled some of his fans after he called on-off girlfriend Karrueche Tran "a fat a** n***a" in an Instagram post.
The R'n'B singer, who regularly uploads pictures of his model other half onto his social photo sharing account, posted a shot of her reaching for something out of his fridge.
Next to the image he wrote: "Caught this fat a** n***a in my fridge. Always eating."
While some of his followers said he was clearly joking with the caption, plenty of others failed to see the funny side.
Referencing the time Chris was forced to delete a racy shot of Karrueche lying on a bed in just her underwear (which some say contributed to last month's break up), one fan wrote: "I hope y'all don't break up over this pic and your rude a** caption again."
Another said: "Fast a**????? Hope it's a joke."
"Where is this fat a**?"
And: "Fast a**?! You must be kidding me Chris."
While others came to his defence, writing: "Omg, y'all are over reacting. He was joking and they have a very playful relationship.
"They're like best friends. She is beautiful and he knows it."

Khloe Kardashian and French Montana Relationship or ''Business Deal''

French Montana

Did Khloe Kardashian break up with French Montana? According to several reports, the reality star and the rapper have parted ways. The Latin Post reports that the two actually used each other for fame, and their relationship was just for publicity purposes. Sources say that French Montana actually made money while “dating” Khloe — because he was paid to appear on Keeping Up With The Kardashians. Are you surprised?
“The way that the Kardashians’ [show] is set up is very unusual. It’s the only show that I know of where a producer can say, ‘Here’s the cast and this is what they’re getting paid.’ Usually to add a cast member to a show, you’d have to fire a cast member to keep the budget balanced. But in this case, Kris just offered French Montana a check to be in the show.”
Khloe Kardashian’s break up was sort of expected — no one actually thought that Koko was going to end up marrying French Montana since this was technically her rebound relationship after her split from estranged husband, Lamar Odom. According to The Latino Post, French Montana was too pricey of a guest to have on the show, and he was being paid way too much money — so he was let go.
“He’s expensive, and some people at E! just don’t think he’s worth the money. I’ve heard execs moaning about it, saying, ‘We’re just paying so much for him.’”
And so French Montana and Khloe Kardashian are no more. Allegedly. The whole thing is sort of weird, but maybe it’s just what Khloe needed to help her move on from her marriage and feel like she was important again. Maybe paying someone to hang out with you isn’t the answer, but it seemed like Khloe was having fun, so it worked out for her.
The Khloe Kardashian break up can hardly even be called that, given the fact that the reality star admitted to knowing that she was being used by French Montana to begin with. As previously reported by The Inquisitr, French recently said that he wanted to “capitalize” on his relationship with Khloe… and while you might have thought that he was pulling one over on the brunette beauty, he wasn’t. Khloe said she knew it all along and she “didn’t care.”
So maybe this was just a business deal after all.

Karrueche Tran has offered another profound apology for throwing shade at Blue Ivy's hair

 Karrueche Tran has been forced to defend herself yet again in the midst of backlash she has received for making an inappropriate joke about Beyonce and Jay Z’s daughter Blue Ivy on live television, sending her “sincerest apologies” to those she has offended while also hitting out at others who have reportedly sent her death threats. It's now also emerged that the show's producer has been suspended in the fallout of the furore.
The 27-year-old model, who is best known as the on/off girlfriend of Chris Brown, caused a storm of controversy when hosting BET’s 106 & Park on Monday when she dissed two-year-old Blue Ivy’s hair, joking to the audience: “I really did wake up like this, because my parents never comb my hair.”
It was clearly a bad move as Twitter erupted over the comment, prompting Karrueche to release a second statement addressing the scandal, in which she blames the TV network for scripting the diss.
In a lengthy post on Instagram, Karrueche explained: “Past two days have been extremely draining.. As I geared up for a big day for myself - hosting a live show..
“I never expected things to turn out this way.. I apologize to any and everyone who felt offended in any way by the comments made by BET executed through me. I would never disrespect anyone's child in any way and anyone who knows me knows that I LOVE Beyoncé.”
She continued: “My comments have been in complete shambles.. yes I am human too and yes I do make mistakes.. But all this negativity and death wishes are quite a lot.. Definitely a lesson learned from here forth.. Again, on behalf of MYSELF, my sincerest apologies #BeyHive.”

Following a flood of angry outbursts from Beyonce’s fans, BET’s programming director Stephen Hill issued an apology to Beyonce and Jay Z while also urging viewers not to blame Karrueche for the ill-advised joke.
“Last night on 106 & Park there was a stupid, unthoughtful joke made about a young child. We apologize publically to the child’s parents (and have done so privately) and we have taken punitive actions with those responsible,” Stephen tweeted last night.
“It was very bad judgment and we will serve you much better in the future. Oh, and please don’t hate on Karrueche; it was NOT her fault. We also apologize to her for putting her in that position.”
It seems those punitive actions weren't taken lightly as reports have emerged that an unnamed 106 & Park producer has been suspended over the joke

Kate Henshaw gets into politics

'I'm taking 8 years break from acting to do politics'
Actress Kate Henshaw has revealed she plans to take a break from acting to face politics squarely. When asked if she's quitting acting for politics in an interview with Sahara TV, Ms Henshaw said;
"Well, Well, I will take a break to serve the larger population of Nigeria. I won't quit. Arnold Schwarzenegger was Governor and he is back to acting again. You take time off,you serve your people. I don't hope to be there forever. I just want to do, make noise, leave when the ovation is loudest. That's the best way. Yeah ...I don't want to be there for 10 years, 12 years, 16 years, that's the best way. I want to do other things. 4-8 years, that's the limit you can hold me to my word." Continue...
Asked if she won't want to exceed the 4-8 years duration, Kate responded
"There has to be another person, who will go through the process, who would want to try. That's the problem. Too many people stay in one place for so long and other people just lose hope and say why would I even bother. So let someone start getting the knowledge. I would help whoever is in the Cross River state to come with me, go through the process, meet the elders, whoever...get ready to take your chair because nobody is going to come and pick you. You have to push your head inside there" she said
Asked if she has gathered enough money to pursue her political ambition, Kate said
"There is no money. I can't match the people who have been in the system for 20, 30 years. I am going with God and my heart" she said
Asked if she will share money as most Nigerian Politicians do, Kate said;
"I'm not sharing money. If you continue sharing money, it will never stop. If you want a change, a true change, then vote for me and you will see the change. But if you want money, hey, go for money and stay where you are and don't even complain" she said
Kate declared her intention contest for the Federal House or Representatives for Calabar Municipal/Odunkpani Federal Constituency under the PDP on July 19th
