Womb transplant successfuly done in Sweden

Doctors at the University of Gothenburg Sweden have successfully carried out womb transplant for 9  women who were born without a womb and are waiting for them to get pregnant. This amazing new kind of surgery is geared towards helping women who are born without wombs, a medical condition called MKRH or had there uterus removed due to severe medical conditions such as cervical cancer.

The wombs received were from mothers or female relatives of the recipients. All nine women are currently ovulating which is a good sign that the wombs are doing fine inside the women. Continue..


Saudi Arabia is the first country in the world to have carried out womb transplant in the year 2000 but the recipient recorded blood clot and so the womb was removed. Turkey was the 2nd country to try the womb transplant were they took womb from dead people and transplanted into this women but the process also failed as the women lost their babies after 2 months of conception. England is preparing to also carry out the process.

Head surgeon for this process Dr Mats Brannstrom said

"This is a research study. It could lead to the women having children, but there are no guarantees …what is certain is that they are making a contribution to science.".

Yetunde is not a first time thief though,Her matter was in the news in February 2013, when it was reported that she was arrested for robbery by the police in Alade, in Somolu area of Lagos State. She was later taken to court by the police for prosecution, but she was discharged and acquitted after the court said her prosecutor didn’t present a proper case that could lead to her conviction. 

On Sunday Morning of January 12,2014,there was a loud noise in Magodo phase 2,No 15 Ibitayo street to be precise and people were shouting  ''thief thief''! and running after a lady in a black dress …the lady in the black dress was running like a horse without shoes,running inside a walled estate...

unfortunately for her,before she could get to the gate,the security on duty mobilised and caught her.

She was escorted back to number 15 Ibitayo street where she had been caught inside the master bedroom with a bunch of master keys hidden in her brassiere.

Funny enough the occupants of this house are not friends with the actress and have never met her before or share close friends with her but something strange may be the missing link.

A day before their Nanny resigned from the job stating she could no longer do it...strange?probably a coincidence.

The occupants of the flat had gone to church but the sister to the head of the family arrived home a little early to attend to her business…*now imagine this scenario*

She put the key into the lock,opened the door,goes inside to find Yetunde who was startled and started stammering,she was asked what she was doing there and after mumbling some mumbo jumbo,she exited the flat and ran with her legs touching the back of her head……..there were cries of ''thief'' to attract others and after they caught her,she was beaten to a pulp,questioned and handed over to the Police after she implicated a lot of innocent people in her story....these people however arrived the venue to clear their names after agreeing that they know her.

Yetunde's younger sister was called on the phone to come and see her sister who had been involved in an accident but the sister refused that she would come to the venue and hung up the phone.

According to the report Yetunde insisted she gone gone to wait for a friend inside the flat….

She could not answer how she found herself inside until she was searched and a bunch of master keys found inside her brassiere.

In Febuary 2013,Yteunde was arrested for stealing a bunch of master keys…she was sent to kiri kiri prison and after a few months there,she gained her freedom in November 2013 and in December 2013 she granted an interview describing how her friends set her up

 Yetunde, who is in the Odunfa Caucus of the Yoruba film industry headed by veteran actors; Taiwo Hassan aka Ogogo and Yinka Quadri, alleged that her friends set her up, which was why she went through the bitter experience, she said it was all because of a little misunderstanding and disclosed that she had since stopped her relationship with those who implicated her. She disclosed that her friends, who got her into trouble, even behaved as if they were trying to help her out of the case, but that they were actually behind her being thrown into the police net and taken to court.

Yetunde is currently being detained for attempted theft and possession of a bunch of master keys....probably the same one she was accused of stealing last year but acquitted because they found nothing on her.

*I cannot say anything but that God should heal this young woman of this spirit of theft that she is wearing on her body like a second skin.....really sad and i am sorry about the embarrassment this will cause her family and friends.....but i am sure they sleep with one eye open,expecting news like this?

Nigerian Senator Says The Military Bombs His Convoy

A Nigerian senator says a military aircraft fired four bombs at his cavalcade as he drove to the scene of an attack by suspected Islamic extremists in the country's northeast. No one was hurt. 

Senator Mohammed Ali Ndume said yesterday the military told him the bombing of his convoy escorted by security forces was "an operational blunder." 

Military spokesman Colonel Muhammed Dole said he knew nothing of the senator's convoy being bombed Saturday, but confirmed a military operation with air support was going on around Ardoko village, 185 kilometers from Maiduguri, capital of Borno state. 

Ndume was traveling to Ardoko to commiserate with constituents attacked Saturday by extremists, who killed eight civilians. 

He said villagers who had come out to welcome him scattered as the bombs exploded

First Dinosaur Fossils Found in Saudi Arabia

A team of international researchers has found the first dinosaur remains ever in Saudi Arabia, identifying two species that lived more than 72 million years ago in what is now the Red Sea coastal region, the Al Medina newspaper reported Sunday.

The scientists discovered parts of the tail of a Titanosaurus, a type of vegetarian dinosaur that measured at least 20 meters (66 feet) long, and some of the teeth of another dinosaur.

“This discovery is important not only for the fossils that were found, but also because of the fact that they have been able to be identified,” Benjamin Ker, the scientist in charge of the project and a researcher at Sweden’s Uppsala University, said.

These are the first dinosaur remains found on the Arabian Peninsula, Ker said.

The scarcity of fossils on the Arabian Peninsula is due to the fact that the sedimentary rocks there were formed in valleys and rivers during a geological epoch when there were few dinosaurs, Tom Rich, a member of Australia’s Museum Victoria, told the newspaper.

Remains similar to the ones found in Saudi Arabia have already been unearthed in North Africa, Madagascar and South America, Rich said.

The research team is comprised of Swedish, Australian and Saudi scientists from the University of Uppsala, the Museum Victoria, Australia’s Monash University and the Saudi Geological Service.

Pope Names 19 New Cardinals

POPE Francis has made his mark on the Roman Catholic hierarchy by naming 19 new cardinals, including the Archbishop of Westminster - but left Scotland out of the roll of honour following the scandal over Cardinal Keith O'Brien.

The London-based new cardinal, Vincent Nichols, said he was "deeply moved" after being named among eight new cardinals selected from across Europe. He will now be eligible to enter a conclave to elect a future Pope.

However, Pope Francis's first raft of senior appointments since he took over the leadership of the Church places further pressure on Cardinal O'Brien to resign.

He is the most senior Catholic in Scotland, despite stepping down as Archbishop of St Andrews and Edinburgh last year after admitting to sexual misconduct.

Meanwhile, Archbishop Nicols is to be formally appointed on the Feast of St Peter in Rome at the next consistory of cardinals on February 22.

The Liverpool-born Archbishop, 67, had been among those tipped for the role after being sidelined under the tenure of previous pontiff, Pope Benedict, because he was seen to be overly liberal.

He has recently been appointed to an influential Vatican committee, an indication that his outlook chimes more with Francis.

The announcement came during Pope Francis' Angelus in St Peter's Square in Rome yesterday.

A spokesman for the Catholic Church in Scotland said Archbishop Philip Tartaglia, president of the Bishops' Conference of Scotland, would congratulate Archbishop Nichols on behalf of Scotland's 600,000 Catholics tomorrow during a scheduled visit to Glasgow. But, referring to calls for Cardinal O'Brien's resignation, he added that Scotland's position has not altered.

He said: "Archbishop Philip Tartaglia is sending congratulations to Archbishop Nichols, his counterpart as president of the Bishops' Conference of England and Wales. By coincidence Archbishop Tartaglia will welcome Archbishop Nichols to Glasgow on Tuesday for a pre-arranged liaison meeting and will congratulate him in person then. Scotland's position has not changed as a result of today's announcement."

In addition to Cardinal O'Brien, the British Isles now has three Cardinals, including Ireland's Sean Brady.

Cardinal O'Brien stayed away from the papal conclave in Rome last March which elected Pope Francis.

Last week, Hugh McLoughlin, who writes for a number of Catholic periodicals, said: "I'd hope for his sake that he has the good grace to submit his resignation.

"It would be best the best thing for himself, for the Catholic Church in Scotland and the church universally."

However, senior sources within the Catholic Church in Scotland have cast doubt on both the willingness and practicality of him stepping down.

Pope Francis has won praise for his down-to-earth attitude, shunning the papal limousine to travel on the bus, cooking his own meals and bedding down in a modest Vatican city hotel instead of the official Vatican apartments during last year's papal conclave.

He has said he wants a church that "is poor and for the poor" and that aim appeared to be reflected in his choice of cardinals.

The 19 were drawn from Italy, Germany, Britain, Nicaragua, Canada, Ivory Coast, Brazil, Argentina, South Korea, Chile, Burkina Faso, the Philippines and Haiti.

Kourtney Kardashian Panics as Scott Disick’s Drinking Out of Control After Losing Both Parents

Scott Disick always seems to be just a few steps away from a full blown breakdown and the recent death of his father has pushed Kourtney Kardashian’s baby daddy even closer to the edge. Jeffery Disick died on Jan. 2nd after dealing with health issues and his wife Bonnie died in late October. Scott dealt with the loss of his mother by partying harder and forgetting that he has a family. He has yet to get over that loss and in no real shape to handle another one.

According to the Jan. 20th print edition of Star Magazine those close to Scott fear that his drinking is going to get even worse. They say that he seems to have checked out of everyday life and is rarely spending any time at all playing with his kids. Instead Scott has turned up all over the place sloppy drunk and flirting with random brunettes.

Kourtney has pleaded with Scott to get some legitimate help. She wants him to go to therapy as a way of dealing with all of the pain but so far Scott isn’t on board with that idea. He prefers to drink it all away and run with a crowd of partyers. That’s how Scott always ends up in trouble though, isn’t it? Tonto Dikeh, Yul Edochie Crowned Vanguard’s Nollywood Sexiest

Readers of the Vanguard newspaper have voted Yul Edochie and Tonto Dikeh as the sexiest acts in Nollywood.
Itz Ova singer Tonto Dikeh came top after beating Ebube Nwagbo and Colette Orji to the title, while Yul Edochie saw off the challenge of Benson Okonkwo and Uti Nwachukwu.
The Sexiest in Nollywood public opinion poll started in 2008 and the maiden edition winners were Genevieve Nnaji and Jim Iyke. Genevieve won the crown as the Sexiest woman in Nollywood in 2008 followed by Ini Edo in second place and Mercy Johnson in third.
For the men, Emeka Ike and Desmond Elliot trailed Jim Iyke as the first runner-up and second runner-up.
The winners in 2009 were Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde and Desmond Elliot.

Moet Abebe clears the air on her alleged sex tape scandal

After having kept mum on her alleged sex tape scandal, Soundcity VJ, Moet Abebe in a recent interview with PUNCH cleared the air on the issue, her many love for tattoos, her alleged romance with Don Jazzy and what part of her body she may consider enhancing.

On tattoos she said “You know how people say tattoos last longer than friends? Well, that’s why I love tattoos. It’s a form of expression and a way to tell a story that stays with you forever. Senator Magnus Abe shot as Rivers police disrupt APC rally

Senator Magnus Abe, the Chairman of the Senate Committee on Petroleum (Downstream) and the Chief of Staff to Rivers State Governor Rotimi Amaechi, Tony Okocha were reportedly both hit with rubber bullets shot by Rivers police this morning Sunday January 12th during a political rally in Port Harcourt. The Senator had led members of the Save Rivers Movement to a venue where a pro-APC rally was to hold, and the police fired rounds and released teargas in a bid to stop the event. Several people were wounded and have been reportedly transported to the hospital.

One of those wounded Tony Okocha said Rivers police was trying to militarize the state and blamed the attack on Supervising Minister of Education, Nyesom Wike, who he claimed told police to stop the rally. Another pic of the wounded Senator after the cut...

2 teen girls beat their 16-year-old friend before holding her down to be raped

Two teen girls lured their friend to a house, beat her up and held her down to be raped while someone filmed the whole thing on a cell phone. UK Daily Mail reports

A 16-year-old girl was allegedly beaten by other girls before being held down to be raped in a horrifying attack that was filmed on a cellphone, it was revealed today. 

Patricia Montes, 15 (pictured above right), and 16-year-old Erica Avery (pictured left) are accused of punching, kicking and pepper-spraying the girl before holding her down to be raped by Jayvon Woolfork, 19, police said. 

The barbaric attack was filmed on a cell phone by Lanel Singleton, 18, and shows the girl writhing half naked and weeping in the yard of a home in Hollywood, Florida while her attackers leer over her. Continue...

Along with 17-year-old Dwight Henry, the alleged rape gang have all been charged in the attack on November 1 last year. 

The sickening clips, shown by CBS Miami for the first time today, shows the girls viciously beating the girl while the men watch. 

One male voice can be heard saying: 'They don't like this girl.'
One girl responds: 'I told you we were gonna f*** somebody up'.
As the victim begs to be freed, another girl says they should 'let this girl go home' but the attack continues.

Inside the home, the alleged attackers dragged the victim into a room and pinned her down while Woolfork assaulted her. 

The victim is later allowed to leave but not before one of her female attackers spits on her. She managed to flag down a car and make it to her home where she fell unconscious and was taken to hospital. She spent several days in hospital with broken bones in her face, swelling and being unable to see.

The victim told police that she was attacked after smoking marijuana and drinking beer with people she believed to be her friends, including one girl who had been her best friend since kindergarten.
Patricia Montes, 15, and Erica Avery, 16, are charged with two counts each of felony armed sexual assault and kidnapping. Both have been charged as adults.

Henry, 17, of Hollywood; Lanel Singleton, 18, of North Miami (both pictured above); and Woolfork, 19, all face charges of capital felony sexual assault and kidnapping. 

All have pleaded not guilty and are being held on bond with the exception of Montes.
Singleton, who is believed to have recorded the clips, was expected to appear in court today.
At a bail hearing in November, prosecutor Maria Schneider described the video of the crime, detailing how the victim pleaded with the alleged attackers to stop as she held her arms over her face to protect herself from their unrelenting blows.

‘The cruelty shown on this video . . . this was repeated over and over again . . . The girls are trying to remove her bra. You saw the victim sitting on the toilet crying, her face blown up and swollen from injuries, and then they beat her,’ Ms Schneider said.

During parts of the three-hour bail hearing, Avery grinned and rolled her eyes and had to be admonished by her lawyer to remain composed. Montes, who was the victim’s best friend, appeared stoic for most of the proceeding.

The victim claims that she was kicked, thrown down stairs and had her face smashed on concrete, breaking bones near both her eyes.
The judge said: 'This 16-year-old woman, both of her eyes were closed from being beaten, she had blood coming from one of her ears.'

The videos, consisting of 11 snippets, show the victim being beaten, but they do not depict sexual activity.
