The special adviser to the Delta State governor on information and communication technology (ICT) Sunny Ofili (pictured above), and the Obi of Issele-Uku, Henry Ezeagwunam, died today August 9th in a fatal car crash in Delta state.
Mr Ofili, Mr Ezeagwunam, who was driving and his son were traveling in an SUV when they crashed into a stationery lorry laden with gravel at Otulu Junction on the Benin-Asaba-Onitsha expressway. The car somersaulted several times and burst into flames. All three passengers were burnt to death
Late Mr Ofili used to be a blogger based in Maryland, USA and edited a website called 'Times of Nigeria" before moving to Nigeria to work for the government. He had indicated interest in running for a seat in the Delta State House of Assembly before his unfortunate passing.
