Home fellowship centers, commonly called Home Cells, of Daystar Christain Center, located in the Opebi Area came together on Sunday, 29th June 2014 to support residents of the Monkey Village community in Opebi, Lagos. The community generally lacks basic amenities like potable water, with many residents not having meaningful ways of earning a living. The Home Cells donated foodstuff, clothings, toys for the kids, insecticide-treated nets, amongst many other things. The residents were glad as they trooped out in their numbers to receive these gifts, with many being grateful to God and to the Church for this act of benevolence shown towards them.
